Our Vision is to design a program giving youth in our community an opportunity to participate in football that also strengthens character and develops future leaders through education, athletics, discipline, and pride. We will accomplish this by providing a supportive atmosphere that builds confidence and self-esteem, teaches the value of teamwork and trust, and inspires each player to develop values need to succeed in both athletics and life.
Our mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of children. The SSJFA program will provide a positive introduction to youth football; foster a positive learning environment in which children develop mentally, physically and emotionally. We will assist in achieving their highest potential by promoting commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship while learning life-long lessons.
· Teach team participation and responsibility
· Teach participants to respect and honor opponents and all other participants (coaches, officials, parents)
· Teach sportsmanship and fair play
· Teach football skills in an environment where players compete with other players of comparable age and weight
· Teach all participants how to win, how to lose, and how to do both with dignity
